Sam Kodama is a Ph.D. candidate in Earth & Planetary Sciences at the University of California, Santa Cruz in the lab of Dr. Tamara Pico. His research explores the impact of glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) on landscape evolution, specifically through the geomorphic evolution of meandering rivers.
Originally from Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Sam graduated with a B.A. in Earth Sciences from Columbia University in May 2020. In his free time Sam enjoys cooking, running, and playing guitar.
